Job summary

National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi seeks a Unit Head Infrastructure (AVP/VP) to lead the BI & Analytics data platform infrastructure. You will drive scalability, security, and cost efficiency across on‑premise and cloud environments, collaborating with data engineering and BI teams.

The role requires 6+ years in banking/fintech or related sectors, with hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and data platforms. Contractual role for three years with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation in Computer Science / IT / SE or equivalent
• Masters degree in CS/IT or Data certs (AWS/Azure) preferred
• 6+ years in Banking/Fintech/IT infra or data platforms

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute infrastructure strategy for BI & Analytics data platform
• Collaborate with data engineering/BI to align infra with business needs
• Lead capacity planning and performance tuning for databases
• Manage infrastructure security, access controls and compliance
• Oversee monitoring and optimization of data warehouse infrastructure and cloud services
• Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting and automated remediation
• Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Handle vendor relationships and SLAs
• Perform other assignments as needed
