Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in commercial financial services, underwriting borrowers, and a bachelor's in finance, engineering, or CS. You should understand US lending practices and be able to work US hours.

Our Credit team is looking for a detail-oriented, decisive credit professional to join as an Underwriter. You'll review the credit profile of potential borrowers, apply our proprietary credit policy to approve credit, and help vendor and channel partners close more deals by delivering an industry-best response time on credit decisions. This is a foundational role for anyone who wants hands-on exposure to how commercial credit risk is assessed and managed at a fast-growing fintech.
Performing risk assessments on potential commercial borrowers based on commercial credit bureau information, internal borrowing history, and other firmographic and risk factors
Evaluating compliance requirements (including OFAC and KYC screening)
Efficiently and accurately employing a proprietary credit policy to assign borrower ratings, credit limits, and specific loan features
Clearly articulating when and why additional details or financial documents are required
Evaluating borrower documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Spreading customer financial information and analyzing standard financial ratios
Supporting colleagues and leaders in large, complex transactions
Recording loan application decisions and the specific basis for decision
Performing all duties with a focus on client relationships and superior customer service
3-5 years experience in commercial financial services, credit risk preferred
3+ years underwriting commercial borrowers
2+ years in a transactional operations environment with high-volume processing
Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, computer science, or related discipline
Strong analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail
Experience with US commercial lending practices
Ability to maintain US working hours and holiday schedule
Prior experience underwriting vendor- or channel-financed transactions
Familiarity with equipment leasing/financing concepts (ELFA-adjacent) as applied to tech
Experience with Salesforce or a comparable loan origination/CRM system
Exposure to fintech, SaaS, or B2B lending environments
Experience at a high-growth startup
