Job summary

Funavry is seeking a bookkeeping and UK tax specialist to manage client accounts and ensure HMRC and Companies House compliance. You will maintain records in Xero and QuickBooks, prepare year-end accounts and CT600s, and support statutory filings while meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires UK tax knowledge, 1+ year of experience, and readiness to work on-site during UK hours. Hybrid/remote-friendly setup offered with learning budget and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 1 year of practical UK tax and bookkeeping experience.
• Understanding of UK Corporation Tax, Self Assessment, and year-end accounts.
• Knowledge of FRS 105 and FRS 102.

Responsibilities

• Manage client accounts and prepare UK tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House.
• Maintain bookkeeping records using Xero and QuickBooks; perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare year-end accounts, schedules, and journal entries.
• Prepare Corporation Tax computations and CT600 returns.
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns; support statutory accounts and filings.
• Track deadlines and communicate with UK clients.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve complex issues.
