Job summary

Aimlroles is seeking a Senior QA Automation Lead in Pakistan to drive automation-first QA across projects and squads. You will define, implement and manage automation tools and frameworks, uplift automation capabilities, and promote shift-left QA across design and delivery.

You will mentor QA Analysts, estimate automation efforts, and work with DevOps to embed tests in CI/CD pipelines for faster, higher-quality releases. Experience with SaaS/PaSS apps is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in implementing test automation frameworks and infrastructure to enable reliable automation.
• Delivery of test automation work that reduces cycles and uplifts engineering practices.
• Deep understanding of the testing pyramid and test types within it.
• Familiarity with common testing tools and automation toolsets.
• Experience with SaaS/PaSS apps like Salesforce, ServiceNow, AEM, Workday, Peoplesoft.

Job description

• Define, implement and manage test automation tools, frameworks and methodologies promoting an automation-first approach across all Quality Assurance activities.
• Foster and promote a QA Engineering approach, uplifting automation capabilities across the QA team as well as within projects and delivery squads.
• Define appropriate levels of test automation coverage for new initiatives as well as BAU activities, leading a team of QA Analysts in delivering maintainable and robust automated suites.
• Promote and foster a 'shift-left' approach to QA, demonstrating QA value across design and delivery of solutions.
• Estimate test automation efforts including resources, licensing and infrastructure required.
• Work closely with the DevOps practice to embed automated testing in CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster delivery cycles whilst ensuring quality of releases.
• Actively manage Test Automation tools to ensure frameworks leverage modern QA practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of QA Analysts in delivering test automation work on time and on budget.
• Leverage automation tools to generate test data, setup and validate environments.
• Be a champion for automation and agile ways-of-working, continuously identifying new automation opportunities, managing an automation backlog.
• Conduct peer reviews of development work.
• Playing an active role in establishing and maturing the RMIT QA Community of Practice.
• Assist the QA Manager for Ad Hoc testing duties.

Required Experience

• Experience in implementing test automation frameworks, selecting tools and designing the required infrastructure to enable reliable and robust test automation execution.
• Experience in delivering test automation work that reduces test cycles, improves quality of releases and significantly uplifts software engineering practices.
• Deep understanding of the testing pyramid and relevant types of tests in each part of the pyramid.
• Deep understanding of common testing tools and automation toolsets.
• Experience in current technologies and SaSS/PaSS Applications like Salesforce, ServiceNow, AEM, Workday, Peoplesoft.
• Experience in automation across Unit Testing, System Testing, API, SIT, Performance & Volume.
• Good understanding of test automation integration into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps activities.
