Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited is seeking an experienced Automation QA engineer to lead web and API testing efforts. The candidate will build, maintain, and execute robust automation frameworks using Selenium and TestNG in an Agile/Scrum setting.

We require 4–6 years of hands-on automation testing experience, strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, and excellent communication. Lahore-based role with on-site collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
• 4–6 years of proven automation software testing experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web automation.
• Experience with API testing and API automation.
• Knowledge of defect tracking, test management tools, and Git operations.
• Understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, system, and UAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web applications using Selenium.

Job description

• Strong skills in both Manual and Automation Testing are required.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web applications using Selenium.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot test automation environments and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable automation frameworks.
• Define and implement effective test automation strategies, approaches, and execution plans.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across project releases.
• Execute automated regression and functional test suites and analyze test results.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, methodologies, tools, and automation coverage.
• Provide regular and accurate status updates, reports, and testing insights.
• Investigate, debug, and troubleshoot defects across Web, API, Mobile, and related application components.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of proven experience in automation software testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as TestNG and TDD/BDD-based frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and API automation.
• Working knowledge of defect tracking, test management tools (Azure DevOps preferred) and git operations.
• Strong understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, System, UAT, and Database Testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Performance and Stress Testing; JMeter experience is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
• Expertise in Web Application Automation Testing.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
• Hands-on experience with Mobile Automation for iOS and Android applications using relevant automation frameworks.
• Experience in automated test execution, and continuous testing practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of automation framework architecture, design patterns, implementation, scalability, and maintenance best practices.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across Web, API, and Mobile applications.
