Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in a technical/processing environment.
• Ability to lead a group, manage shift rotations, and ensure safety, quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production plans to meet daily targets with quality and safety adherence.
• Lead and develop the production team across shifts, ensuring SOPs and GMPs are followed.
• Support inter-departmental coordination for raw and pack materials availability and equipment maintenance.

Main Purpose of the Job

Team Leader is responsible for production activities ensuring smooth and efficient operation with strict adherence to product quality, safety and hygiene standards.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

• Ensure smooth and reliable plan operations to ensure delivery of daily production plans and targets, with right product quality
• Inter department coordination to manage end to end production plan including availability of raw and pack materials
• Monitor line efficiency to ensure that performance measures are well delivered
• Implement HACCP and enforce compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the shift.
• Ensure the timely deployment of People development plan and assure the competencies of the team as per the agreed plan (proper training including equipment, safety procedures, hygiene).
• Ensure safe work practices during operation and maintenance as well.
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety e.g. protective clothing (uniform), shoe change & hand wash
• Ensure continuous line Controls and immediate corrective action to assure prescribed quality and to ensure compliance with manufacturing instructions
• Ensure ongoing smooth operations of factory through effective employee and industrial relations management
• Ensure timely launch of new products to the market as agreed with the business unit
• Coordination with engineering team during breakdown and maintenance activities to ensure equipment health and operational reliability

ARE YOU A FIT?

• Bachelor's in chemical engineering with 1-2 years of experience in a technical field, preferably on processing plant in a food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
• Can lead a group of people and rotate in shifts to ensure safety, quality and operational excellence to deliver consistent production results while ensuring compliance
• Demonstrate strong ownership and people leadership to develop team competence and drive result through others
