Job summary

Water and Sanitation Agency Lahore seeks a Sub Engineer (Mechanical / Tubewell Machinery) for BPS-14 to supervise preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls of deep tubewell vertical turbine pumps and centrifugal wastewater pumps.

The incumbent will monitor vibrations, ensure proper impeller alignment, and replace mechanical seals while coordinating with electrical teams to sustain water discharge. A 3-year DAE in Mechanical Technology with at least 2nd division is required.

Qualifications

• 3-Year Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Mechanical Technology with minimum 2nd division.
• Recognized technical education per Board of Technical Education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauling of deep tubewell pumps and centrifugal wastewater pumps.
• Monitor pump bearings via vibration checks and ensure proper impeller alignment.
• Replace mechanical face seals and service diesel generators during load shedding.
• Maintain spare parts inventories and coordinate with electrical crews for uninterrupted water discharge.
