Job summary

HydroSolutions in Lahore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, specify and support mechanical systems for hydraulic, pneumatic and water-management equipment. The role is on-site in Lahore with travel for installations and commissioning.

You will prepare mechanical designs, BOMs, and perform pump sizing while supervising installations and ensuring safety standards. Strong CAD skills and English/Urdu communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) for fabrication drawings and assembly details.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, pump and piping system design, head-loss calculations and pump performance curves.
• Experience selecting and sizing centrifugal and positive-displacement pumps, valves and hydraulic components.
• Knowledge of materials, welding methods, fit-up and mechanical tolerances for rotating equipment and pipework.
• Familiar with commissioning procedures, alignment practices, vibration checks and mechanical testing protocols.
• Ability to interpret vendor datasheets, P&IDs and technical specifications; prepare BOMs and procurement comparatives.
• Practical troubleshooting skills for field diagnostics, root‑cause analysis and corrective maintenance.
• Good documentation practices and clear written/verbal communication in English and Urdu.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical designs, CAD drawings and bill of materials for pumps, piping, skids and related equipment.
• Select and size pumps, valves, actuators and power units using performance curves.
• Support procurement by developing technical specifications, evaluating vendor datasheets and reviewing shop drawings.
• Supervise on-site installation, alignment, testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with drawings and safety standards.
• Perform root‑cause troubleshooting, failure analysis and recommend corrective actions for mechanical faults.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans, inspection checklists and spare-parts lists to improve equipment uptime.
• Prepare test reports, maintenance plans and as‑built drawings; communicate technical information in English and Urdu.
