• As a Student Counselor at StudyNova Education Consultants, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding students toward their academic and career dreams by helping them explore exciting opportunities to study abroad. Your role will involve providing personalized counseling, information, and support to empower students in making well-informed decisions about their international education options.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in one-on-one counseling sessions with students to understand their academic aspirations, interests, and goals.
• Offer tailored guidance on selecting suitable universities and programs abroad based on each student's qualifications and preferences.
• Application Assistance:
• Support students through the university application process, including creating a personalized list of target universities, completing application forms, and organizing necessary documents.
• Provide information on admission requirements, deadlines, and standardized tests (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, etc.).
• Advise students and their families on financial matters related to studying abroad, including tuition fees, scholarships, and living expenses.
• Explore funding options and help students prepare essential financial documentation required for visa applications.
• Guide students through the visa application process, ensuring they have the required documentation and information.
• Stay up-to-date with visa regulations for various countries and assist students in preparing for visa interviews.
• Pre-Departure Support:
• Prepare students for the transition to foreign universities, including cultural adjustments and academic expectations.
• Organize engaging pre-departure orientations and information sessions.
• Networking:
• Develop and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and other education-related organizations to stay updated on program offerings and opportunities.
• Represent StudyNova Education Consultants at educational fairs and events.

Job Specification

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, BBA, B-Com, BA, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
• Previous experience in international education counseling, student advising, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of foreign universities and their admission processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and cultural sensitivity to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Digital Media Management, including various digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc.
