Job summary

British Council in Pakistan seeks a Senior Financial Controller to lead the country finance function, manage tax compliance, IFRS reporting, and financial controls.

You will partner with RSSC, oversee P2P, O2C, R2R, cash flow forecasting, audits, and regulatory reporting, and mentor the Pakistan finance team.

The role requires a qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience and strong SAP experience in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Several active years of financial controllership and related experience.
• Knowledge of local laws and corporate income taxation, tax compliance.
• ERP experience and financial systems knowledge (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and financial management for the Pakistan finance function.
• Oversee local statutory and tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accurate financial accounting across P2P, O2C, R2R, and CLM and liaise with Group Tax and RSSC.
• Lead implementation of new or changing tax, accounting and reporting requirements.
