10Pearls is seeking a Staff/Senior Software Consultant - Golang to design and build high-performance backend services. You will work on real-time audio/video streaming, low-latency pipelines, and distributed backends across multiple city locations, including Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

The role demands hands-on expertise in Go or C++, WebRTC, RTP/SRTP, FFmpeg, and GStreamer, as well as REST/WebSocket APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on backend development using Go and/or C++.
• Strong expertise in real-time media streaming technologies (WebRTC, RTP/SRTP).
• Experience with RESTful and WebSocket APIs and media processing frameworks (FFmpeg, GStreamer).
• Experience with distributed backend systems, low-latency architectures, and cloud platforms.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go and/or C++.
• Build and optimize real-time microservices for low-latency, distributed architectures.
• Develop and enhance WebSocket, REST, and real-time APIs used by client apps.
• Work with media streaming tech (RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, SFUs) for scalable audio/video streaming.
• Implement and optimize WebRTC SFUs and media workflows with FFmpeg and GStreamer.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Diagnose bottlenecks and optimize backend systems for performance.

Role Overview

We areseekinga highly skilledBackend Engineerwith strongexpertiseinreal-time media streaming, low-latency communication, and distributed backend systemsusing C++ or Golang. The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on experience withstreaming protocols, real-time communication frameworks, and high-performance backend engineering. This role involves designing and building backend microservices that power real-time audio/video communication, streaming pipelines, and low-latency data flows across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, andmaintainhigh-performance backend servicesusingGoorC++.
• Build andoptimizereal-time microservicesthat support low-latency communication across a distributed architecture.
• Develop and enhanceWebSocket, REST, and real-time APIsused by client-facing applications.
• Workextensively withmedia streaming technologies, includingRTP, SRTP, WebRTC, and related protocols.
• Implement andoptimizeWebRTC SFUs (Selective Forwarding Units)for scalable audio/video streaming.
• Integrate andoptimizemedia workflows using tools and libraries such asFFmpegandGStreamer.
• Workwith databases such asMySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and design efficient data models for real-time workloads.
• Ensure backend services meethigh standardsofsecurity, reliability, and performanceusing modern DevOps and SRE practices.
• Collaborate closely withFrontend, DevOps, and Product teamsto deliver end-to-end features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks andoptimizebackend systems for scalability and speed.

Requirements

• 5+ yearsof hands-on backend development experience usingGoand/orC++.
• Strongexpertisein real-time media streaming, including one or more of the following:
• RTP / SRTP
• WebRTC (MUST-HAVE)
• WebRTC SFU implementation
• Deep understanding ofvideo/audio processing, with experience usingFFmpeg,GStreamer, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding ofnetworking concepts, includingTCP, UDP, ICE, STUN/TURN, andWebSockets.
• Strong understanding ofconcurrency, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning.
• Experience building and consumingRESTfulandWebSocketAPIs.
• Hands-on experience withmessage queuessuch as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working withcloud platforms(AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Proficient inC++or Gofor media streaming
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana,OpenTelemetry) is a plus.
• A good understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience working with real-time communication platforms is an added advantage.
