Job summary

10Pearls, LLC is seeking a Principal/Staff Software Consultant - Java + AWS to design and build scalable backend services and APIs. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to secure, high-performing solutions.

Open roles across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad with strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, Micronaut, and AWS. Experience with MySQL/Oracle, ORM (Hibernate/JPA2), and observability tools is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot & Micronaut) and RESTful APIs skills.
• Hands-on AWS experience: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS, CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Oracle and ORM tech (Hibernate, JPA2).
• Familiarity with Splunk and observability tools (Datadog, etc.).
• Containerization expertise with Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD mindset.
• Excellent communication with a consulting mindset; mentoring others.

• Serve as a principal developer, providing expert guidance on business and technical matters.

Role

10Pearls is seeking a skilled Java Developer with expertise in Java (Spring Boot & Micronaut), AWS, MySQL, and Oracle. In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to building efficient, high-performing solutions.

• Serve as a principal developer in project teams, providing expert guidance on business and technical matters.

• Take on additional responsibilities as needed, fostering team cohesion and collaboration.

• Act as a point of contact for technical issues across multiple projects and work streams.

• Proactively plan and strategize with the team, identifying potential issues and suggesting workable alternatives.

• Mentor technical staff, assist where needed, and lead efforts in resolving technical challenges.

• Guide and participate in recruiting top technical talent for the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with a strong focus on backend applications development.

• Strong experience in Java (Spring Boot & Micronaut), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
