Job summary

STAUNCH in Lahore is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to own projects end-to-end, from understanding requirements to delivery and post-release support.

You will lead client communication, translate requirements into technical outcomes, and mentor team members while upholding coding standards and best practices across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, including senior/principal roles.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js and Next.js) and web performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, from requirement understanding to delivery and post-release support.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery by setting clear, realistic goals and aligning team efforts accordingly.
• Identify risks early and proactively manage dependencies, scope, and timelines.
• Maintain a strong focus on engineering quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

2. Client Collaboration & Product Thinking

• Take the lead in client communication for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with clients to gather, clarify, and refine requirements.
• Understand the client’s vision and translate it into actionable technical and product outcomes.
• Add value beyond implementation by researching ideas, competitors, and industry best practices, contributing with a product-oriented mindset.
• Act as a trusted technical partner to clients, helping shape solutions rather than just executing requirements.

3. Collaboration & Cross-Team Alignment

• Collaborate closely with other Team Leads, Senior Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure consistency and high standards across teams.
• Share learnings, challenges, and solutions across teams to continuously improve engineering practices.
• Support a culture of collaboration, ownership, and accountability.

4. Process, Standards & Policy Enforcement

• Promote and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes, discipline, and workflow standards.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, including Senior Software Engineer or Principal-level roles
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js And Next.js)
• Proven track record in building responsive, high-performance web applications
• Hands-on involvement in client communication and team coordination
