About the Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and enhancing secure, modern admin portals and dashboards using React, TypeScript and Next.js. Alongside frontend development, you will work with backend integrations and cloud technologies to ensure applications are reliable, maintainable and ready for production.

You will join a small engineering team where you can take ownership of technical challenges, contribute to product improvements and help strengthen development and deployment practices. The role offers the opportunity to work independently, share technical knowledge and make meaningful contributions to the platform's ongoing development.

We are looking for an experienced frontend engineer who can confidently work beyond the user interface, manage application deployments and deliver high-quality solutions using AWS, Docker and CI/CD technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure admin portals and dashboards using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Develop native Next.js applications using App Router, server components, middleware and API routes.
• Build and maintain server-side authentication functionality and support improvements to role-based access control (RBAC).
• Create and maintain automated frontend tests using Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, taking ownership of application deployments using GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS.
• Connect frontend applications with backend APIs and services, including server-side API gateways.
• Investigate and resolve application, deployment and infrastructure-related issues independently.
• Identify opportunities to improve frontend performance, application reliability and overall code quality.
• Contribute to technical discussions, evaluate existing approaches and recommend practical solutions.
• Support ongoing product development by identifying improvements and contributing to platform stability and maturity.
• Review and validate AI-assisted code to ensure it meets technical, quality and integration standards.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience building frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• In-depth experience with native Next.js development, including App Router, server components, server-side authentication, API routes and middleware.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining admin portals and dashboards.
• Hands‑on experience with frontend automated testing using Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions. Relevant experience with GitLab CI or Jenkins will also be considered.
• Practical experience using Docker and AWS to support application deployment and delivery.
• Ability to independently manage frontend deployments and resolve production deployment issues.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and services.
• Strong technical problem‑solving abilities, a proactive approach and confidence working independently within a small engineering team.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing or enhancing role-based access control (RBAC).
• Experience improving frontend performance, ideally with measurable results.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG), including accessible colour schemes, tooltips and multilingual support.
• Experience with server‑side authentication approaches beyond AWS Amplify or .NET.
• Additional experience working across the full technology stack.
• Experience contributing to product enhancements and improvements in platform maturity.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools, including reviewing and validating AI‑generated code.
