Job summary

Qatar Wellness Network in Karachi is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead a talented kitchen team. You will help plan menus, develop recipes and drive food quality to meet our high standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a luxury restaurant, strong leadership, and a passion for innovative dishes, presentation, and compliance with food safety regulations. Evening and weekend shifts required to ensure exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant setting.
Proven track record of creating innovative dishes with attention to taste, presentation and quality.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost management.
Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies and maintain kitchen equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Continuously seek ways to improve menu offerings and enhance the dining experience for guests.
