Job summary

Alykas is seeking a SOC Analyst L1 to join our multi-tenant SOC, monitoring security events and supporting incident response for US-based clients. This role is ideal for security professionals looking to gain hands-on experience with leading cybersecurity technologies.

You will collaborate with global teams, perform initial triage, and contribute to SOC process improvements while building expertise in security monitoring and detection.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of SOC/IT security experience.
• Basic cybersecurity, networking, and OS concepts.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, XDR, or email security platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from our advanced security solutions.
• Perform initial triage and analysis of security alerts to determine legitimacy and severity.
• Investigate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and document findings accurately.
• Escalate confirmed or suspicious security incidents according to established procedures.
• Create and maintain detailed case notes, investigation records, and incident reports.
• Assist in identifying malicious activity, suspicious behavior, and emerging threats.
• Support threat hunting and security monitoring initiatives as directed by senior analysts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of SOC processes and detection capabilities.

Working within a multi-tenant Security Operations Center (SOC), you will monitor security events, investigate alerts, perform initial triage, and support incident response activities for multiple US-based clients. Key Responsibilities

Must-Haves

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with SOC technologies such as SIEM, EDR, XDR, or Email Security platforms.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and incident response fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal), essential for working with Alykas's international clients.

Nice-to-Haves (Plusses)

• Relevant certifications such as Security+, ISC2 CC, SC-900, BTL1, or equivalent.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Exposure to Linux and Windows administration and basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
