Job summary

PakWheels.com is seeking a skilled Short Video Editor to join our video team in Pakistan. You will edit short-form videos (10s–3min) for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook, using CapCut Pro and Premiere Pro.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in short-form video editing or related content production roles.
• Proficiency in CapCut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs, for AI-assisted video production.
• Ability to shoot quality video content on a mobile phone.
• Strong understanding of short-form video pacing, hooks, and audience retention.
• Good command of audio leveling, color correction, and visual composition.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
• Produce 3–6 AI-assisted videos per month using Claude, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and other AI platforms.
• Use AI tools to assist with scripting, voiceovers, visual generation, and video production workflows.
• Collaborate with the short video producer, team lead, hosts, and content team to develop ideas and refine edits.
• Create engaging videos with pacing, transitions, captions, overlays, and sound design.
• Perform audio cleanup, color correction, and basic motion graphics as required.
• Maintain consistent editing quality and branding across PakWheels content.
• Adapt videos to current trends, memes, and platform-specific formats.
• Shoot content on mobile and provide quick-turnaround coverage at events.
• Organize project files and assets for efficient collaboration.
• Manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.

Beyond traditional editing, the candidate should be comfortable using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs to develop and produce AI-assisted video content. A strong interest in automobiles, an eye for visual storytelling, and the ability to deliver multiple videos under tight deadlines are essential.

You will collaborate closely with producers, hosts, and the creative team to create content that reflects PakWheels’ brand identity and resonates with its audience. The role also involves shooting content on a mobile phone and providing on-the-go video coverage at events.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.


• Produce 3–6 AI-assisted videos per month, using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and other emerging AI platforms.


• Use AI tools to assist with scripting, voiceovers, visual generation, and video production workflows.


• Collaborate with the short video producer, team lead, hosts, and content team to develop ideas and refine edits.


• Create engaging videos using effective pacing, transitions, captions, text overlays, sound effects, and background music.


• Perform audio cleanup, sound design, color correction, and basic motion graphics as required.


• Maintain consistent editing quality and visual branding across all PakWheels short-form content.


• Adapt videos to current trends, memes, viral formats, and platform-specific audience behavior.


• Shoot video content using a mobile phone and provide quick-turnaround coverage at events and on-location assignments.


• Organize project files, footage, graphics, and other digital assets for efficient collaboration and future use.


• Manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality content within tight deadlines, often producing several videos per day.


• Optimize edits for key performance indicators such as click-through rate (CTR), watch time, audience retention, and engagement.


• Stay updated on new editing techniques, AI tools, social media trends, and automotive content formats.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 1–3+ years of experience in short-form video editing or a relevant content production role.


• Strong proficiency in CapCut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.


• Practical knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs, with the ability to use them to develop and produce complete AI-assisted videos.


• Ability to shoot quality video content using a mobile phone.


• Strong understanding of short-form video pacing, hooks, visual storytelling, and audience retention.


• Good command of audio leveling, sound design, color correction, and visual composition.


• Ability to work quickly, manage multiple projects, and consistently meet daily deadlines without compromising quality.


• Strong creative judgment and an understanding of current social media trends and platform-specific formats.


• Willingness to work on-location and cover events when required.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Basic motion graphics and animation skills using Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.


• Interest in automobiles and familiarity with automotive content, reviews, and car culture.


• Experience creating AI-generated or AI-assisted video content.


• Ability to pitch creative ideas and identify potential viral content opportunities.


• Experience working with hosts, producers, and content teams in a fast-paced production environment.
