Job description

We are looking for an experienced Shopify SEO Expert to improve organic visibility, search rankings, qualified traffic, and overall SEO performance for Shopify stores. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with technical SEO, on-page optimization, keyword research, content strategy, site architecture, and Shopify-specific SEO implementation.

We are hiring a Shopify SEO Expert who understands both the technical and commercial sides of eCommerce SEO. You will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that improve search visibility, increase organic traffic, strengthen keyword rankings, and support revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable conducting comprehensive SEO audits, identifying technical and content opportunities, optimizing Shopify stores, improving collection and product pages, resolving indexing and crawlability issues, and developing strategies aligned with search intent and eCommerce goals. Experience working with established Shopify brands and managing SEO performance through data-driven decisions is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Shopify SEO strategies focused on organic visibility, qualified traffic, and business growth. Conduct technical SEO audits and identify issues related to crawlability, indexing, site structure, canonicalization, redirects, metadata, structured data, page speed, and other technical factors. Perform keyword research and map keywords across product, collection, category, and informational pages. Optimize Shopify product pages, collection pages, URLs, titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, image alt text, and on-page content. Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, search performance, and SEO opportunities using relevant SEO tools and Google Search Console. Identify content gaps and develop SEO-driven content recommendations. Collaborate with content, development, and eCommerce teams to implement SEO improvements and continuously improve organic performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with strong expertise in Shopify and eCommerce websites. Proven understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, keyword research, content optimization, internal linking, structured data, and site architecture. Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar SEO tools. Strong understanding of Shopify's SEO ecosystem, including products, collections, themes, URLs, redirects, canonical tags, and technical limitations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate SEO data into practical business actions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple SEO priorities.
