Job summary

Shiwantek in Clifton, Karachi (Bath Island), Pakistan, is hiring a DevOps Engineer – AWS Specialist for on-site or remote work. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on DevOps/Cloud experience and strong AWS expertise, with a focus on performance, security, and cost optimization.

On-time monthly pay and health insurance are included. The candidate will work with Linux servers, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation, and monitoring tools to ensure high availability and optimized cloud

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on DevOps/Cloud experience (mandatory)
• Strong AWS expertise (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch) and Linux server administration
• Proven ability to improve Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed scores
• Experience with caching and CDN technologies (Redis, Varnish, OPcache, CloudFront/Cloudflare)
• Web server and database tuning (Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Ability to reduce cloud costs via right-sizing, Auto Scaling, savings plans
• Bot/attack protection using AWS WAF and Cloudflare; rate limiting
• Strong security skills: IAM, Security Groups, GuardDuty, SSL/TLS, backups
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation
• Monitoring with CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana for high uptime
• AWS Certification or Kubernetes experience is a plus
