Job summary

Codelabs in Karachi is seeking a senior WordPress developer to own the delivery line of e-commerce work. You will build custom themes from Figma, extend WooCommerce stores with plugins and integrations, keep live sites fast and secure, and set coding standards across the team.

You will mentor teammates, review WordPress work, and ensure high performance and security across client projects. This role is on-site in Karachi and requires based-in-Karachi eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building WordPress sites with custom themes and plugins.
• Deep WooCommerce experience: setup, customization, payment gateway integration.
• Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from Figma designs, without page-builder shortcuts.
• Build, customize and maintain WooCommerce stores: catalogs, checkout flows, payment gateways.
• Integrate third-party services: payment providers, shipping APIs, CRMs, analytics.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, caching, image pipelines and database performance.
• Harden security and run structured update/backup routines across client sites.
• Review WordPress work from other developers and mentor where needed.

A large share of Codelabs' client work is e-commerce: fashion, beauty, FMCG and retail brands running on WordPress and WooCommerce. As the senior WordPress developer you'll own that delivery line d building custom themes from Figma, extending stores with plugins and integrations, keeping live sites fast and secure, and setting the coding standard for WordPress work across the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from Figma designs 4a1d no page-builder shortcuts on client builds;
• Build, customise and maintain WooCommerce stores: catalogues, checkout flows, payment gateways;
• Integrate third-party services: payment providers, shipping APIs, CRMs, analytics;
• Optimise Core Web Vitals, caching, image pipelines and database performance;
• Harden security and run structured update/backup routines across client sites;
• Review WordPress work from other developers and mentor where needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years building WordPress sites professionally, with custom theme and plugin development;
• Deep WooCommerce experience: setup, customisation, payment gateway integration;
• Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS fundamentals 442 4bb ;
• Performance tuning experience you can demonstrate: before/after numbers on real sites;
• Portfolio of live stores you've built or significantly extended;
• Based in Karachi; this is an on-site role.
