Job summary

GXA is seeking a Proactive Technical Alignment Engineer (TAE) to guard and enforce technical standards across client environments. This role emphasizes documentation, process, and accuracy, serving as a behind-the-scenes technical steward to enable vCTOs to focus on strategy and growth.

The TAE operates at L3 across Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure, virtualization, networking, Intune, endpoint compliance, and conditional access, delivering health checks, reports, and remediation

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT systems/network engineering at an L4 level.
• Advanced expertise across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure.
• Virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), Networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
• Intune, endpoint compliance, and conditional access policies.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem isolation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and disciplined approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform environment alignment and health checks across client environments.
• Detect misalignments in firewalls, backups, licensing, server health, Microsoft 365, and endpoint compliance.
• Provide structured reports to vCTOs with risks, gaps, and recommendations.
• Handle L3 technical escalations requiring deep domain knowledge.
• Maintain and improve documentation in IT Glue and Autotask.
• Create repeatable playbooks and process documentation for future reuse.
• Collaborate with vCTOs and service teams to ensure standard enforcement.
