Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking a Senior Storage & Backup Administrator to lead the administration, protection, and continuous availability of enterprise storage and data protection platforms across on-premises, object, and cloud environments. The role includes end-to-end ownership of backup/recovery, DC vault operations, storage infra, Windows file services, and DR activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Commvault Backup Platform and Commvault Cloud (Metallic).
• Hands-on experience with Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) and Dell Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) Vault.
• Strong experience with Dell PowerScale (Isilon), Dell ECS, and Pure Storage FlashBlade.
• Experience with OCI Object Storage and OCI Native Backup.
• Strong knowledge of Windows File Server clusters, DFSN, and DFSR.
• Hands-on experience with DR failover/failback, BCP, and RPO/RTO implementation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Commvault Backup Platform across VMs, databases, Kubernetes, and file shares.
• Manage Commvault Cloud (Metallic) for Microsoft 365 backup and recovery.
• Design and manage backup policies, workload protection, and restores using PPDM.
• Manage Dell CRS Vault, including air-gapped data synchronization and compliance.
• Manage Azure Native Backup and OCI Native Backup environments.
• Administer Dell PowerScale (Isilon) file clusters, including NFS/SMB provisioning and access controls.
• Administer Dell ECS object storage with bucket policies and API integrations.
• Administer Pure Storage FlashBlade for high-performance storage and S3 provisioning.
• Manage Azure Files/Azure Blob Storage with access policies and lifecycle management.
• Administer OCI Object Storage including bucket administration and cross-region replication.
• Configure DFS Namespaces and DFSR; execute DR failover/failback per runbooks.
• Support BCP activities and recovery readiness; monitor RPO and RTO.

The role will have end-to-end ownership of backup and recovery, cyber recovery vault operations, storage infrastructure, Windows file services, and disaster recovery activities, while working independently and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Commvault Backup Platform across virtual machines, databases, Kubernetes clusters, and enterprise file shares.
• Manage Commvault Cloud (Metallic) for Microsoft 365 backup and recovery.
• Design and manage backup policies, workload protection, agent deployments, and restore operations using Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM).
• Manage Dell Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) Vault, including isolated cyber vault policies, air-gapped data synchronization, and compliance activities.
• Manage Azure Native Backup and OCI Native Backup environments.
• Administer Dell PowerScale (Isilon) file clusters, including NFS/SMB share provisioning, capacity management, and access permissions.
• Manage Dell ECS object storage, including bucket policies and API integrations.
• Administer Pure Storage FlashBlade for high-performance object storage and S3 provisioning.
• Manage Azure Files and Azure Blob Storage, including access policies, storage tiers, and lifecycle management.
• Manage OCI Object Storage, including bucket administration, cross-region replication, and storage security policies.
• Administer Windows File Server clusters, including disk resources, high availability, and access controls.
• Configure and manage DFS Namespaces (DFSN) and DFS Replication (DFSR).
• Execute DR failover and failback activities in line with defined recovery procedures and runbooks.
• Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities and ensure recovery readiness.
• Implement and monitor agreed RPO and RTO targets across backup, storage, and disaster recovery environments.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of storage, backup, and recovery issues.
• Maintain operational documentation, change management records, and governance requirements.
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure reliable and secure infrastructure operations.
• Provide technical leadership, support team members, and work independently on critical storage and backup operations.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Commvault Certified Professional or Commvault Certified Expert certification.
• Dell Technologies certifications in PowerScale/Isilon, ECS, PowerProtect Data Manager, or Cyber Recovery.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification, such as OCI Architect or Foundations Associate.
