Job summary

Firehorse Group, a US-based company, is hiring a Senior Python Engineer with strong fundamentals and deep AI expertise spanning traditional ML and GenAI/LLMs. You will design, build, and maintain Python services and data pipelines, develop AI-powered features, and optimize for performance and scale.

You will work in a hybrid setup with 3 in-office and 2 remote days, collaborating directly with clients and stakeholders to shape technical solutions. 5+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and clean code.
• Deep AI/LLM expertise across traditional ML and GenAI systems.
• Solid understanding of model training, inference and evaluation.
• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines and vector DBs.
• Experience with end-to-end tests (pytest) and REST APIs.
• Ability to learn fast, own outcomes, and work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Develop AI-powered features using ML models and GenAI systems.
• Build and evaluate LLM pipelines — prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning.
• Write end-to-end tests and maintain high automated test coverage.
• Prototype rapidly and ship at a high pace without compromising quality.
• Optimize for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
