Job summary

Bykea is seeking a senior finance professional in Karachi to lead P&L management and FP&A for the Fleet vertical. The role drives budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability tracking, while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust financial controls.

The candidate will partner with various teams to translate financial performance into actionable insights, support strategic decisions, and manage relationships with banks for financing and funding needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA or equivalent)
• 6+ years of experience in accounting/finance with exposure to financial institutions
• Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling and P&L management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and adaptability

Responsibilities

• Drive P&L management and FP&A across the Fleet vertical, including budgeting and forecasting
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate financial performance into actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop the Finance function for the Fleet business

About the Role

• Drive P&L management and Financial Planning across the Fleet vertical, including financial modeling, budgeting/forecasting, cash flow, revenue and receivables management, profitability tracking, working capital management, and timely identification of variances and risks to support business decisions, ensuring reporting in line with internal and regulatory requirements
• Partner closely with relevant teams to translate financial performance into actionable business insights, challenge variances and drive accountability, and make data‑backed suggestions to improve fleet profitability and efficiency
• Compliance- ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements, banking covenants, and internal financial controls
• Lead, develop, and strengthen the Finance function supporting the Fleet business, ensuring robust processes, controls, reporting standards, and accountability across the team
• Banking & Fleet Financing – Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions on vehicle financing, leasing facilities, renewals, and funding requirements, financial reporting, documentation, and banking compliance
• Fleet Unit Economics – Establish and monitor key financial metrics such as revenue per vehicle, cost per vehicle, utilization, contribution margin, etc to propose opportunitiesfor cost optimization and improved fleet economics
• Risk Management – Identify and proactively manage financial, liquidity, credit, and operational risks within the Fleet business

Requirements

• CA / ACCA / equivalent professional accounting qualification
• 6+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles, with experience managing financial institutions; fleet or logistics experience will be preferred.
• Strong hands‑on experience in financial modelling and P&L management
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work under stringent deadlines
