Job summary

iSystems Ltd. seeks an experienced Infrastructure & Platforms Engineer to administer and automate enterprise Linux environments with focus on RHEL, Satellite, and Ansible. The role covers patching, security, lifecycle management, and automation across production, non-production, and DR setups.

You will manage virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and related enterprise infra technologies, and participate in on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of relevant enterprise infrastructure/Linux administration experience.
Strong hands-on experience with RHEL 7/8/9 or later.
Strong expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite (Content Views, Lifecycle Environments, Activation Keys, repos, registrations, errata).
Strong practical experience with Ansible and development of playbooks, roles, inventories, templates, handlers.
Experience with Ansible Automation Platform / Ansible Tower/AWX is preferred.
Good knowledge of LVM, filesystems, systemd, SELinux, SSH, RPM/YUM/DNF, NFS, DNS/NTP, Linux networking, Bash scripting.
Experience with Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and OS performance monitoring.
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi; Hyper-V is a plus.
Understanding of SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel, LUNs, multipathing, NFS.
Experience with backup technologies (Commvault, Veeam).
Exposure to Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to participate in on-call and after-hours support.
RHCSA/RHCE, Red Hat Ansible Automation, VMware VCP, or ITIL certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise RHEL environments across production, non-production, and DR platforms.
Perform Linux installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Manage Linux users, groups, filesystems, LVM, services, SSH, SELinux, and system security.
Manage RHEL lifecycle using Red Hat Satellite: host registration, repositories, Content Views, environments, keys, errata, subscriptions.
Plan and execute enterprise Linux patching, remediation, and compliance via Satellite.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, templates, and handlers for automation.
Automate server provisioning, configuration management, and routine operational tasks with Ansible.
Support and troubleshoot Ansible Automation Platform / Tower/AWX environments and failed jobs.
Troubleshoot complex Linux OS, networking, filesystem, performance, and infrastructure issues.
Support Linux HA/cluster environments and related technologies.
Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere/ESXi environments: VM provisioning, migration, snapshots, HA.
Support SAN/NAS storage: Fibre Channel, LUNs, multipathing, NFS.
