Job summary

VentureDive is seeking a self-driven Senior Software Engineer specializing in Kotlin to enhance a highly transactional backend and build new microservices. You will design scalable systems, apply TDD, and leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and testing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years of Kotlin experience, strong Spring ecosystem knowledge, and familiarity with cloud, CI/CD, and agile practices. Hybrid work arrangements are available for this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with Kotlin (JVM).
• Strong knowledge of OO and functional design including Kotlin idioms.
• Experience with Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain a highly transactional Kotlin platform and build new microservices.
• Design performant, scalable software and explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Identify technical debt, optimize performance, and improve operations.
• Support deployments, participate in sprint planning, and collaborate with agile teams.
