Job summary

Smart Working is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our remote-first team. You will own backend services (70%) with Node.js/NestJS and contribute to Angular frontend (30%), building scalable web apps and cloud-native solutions.

You’ll work with Docker, Google Cloud Run, and CI/CD pipelines, delivering REST APIs and API docs via Swagger/OpenAPI. Collaboration and independent design are valued in this globally focused role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years with Node.js and/or NestJS.
• 3+ years with Angular.
• 1.5+ years with React.
• 4+ years designing and developing REST APIs.
• 3+ years Docker and containerised apps.
• 2+ years DevOps: CI/CD, deployments, monitoring.
• 2+ years managing GCP production workloads.
• 1+ year AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance a live, customer-facing production platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Node.js/NestJS.
• Contribute to Angular frontend when required.
• Build and improve REST APIs; document with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Support production systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Manage production deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot incidents; root-cause analysis and resolutions.
• Work with Docker-based containers and cloud services.
• Follow established release processes and patterns.
• Collaborate through code reviews and engineering standards.
• Independently design and deliver technical solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools in workflow.
