Job summary

Act International is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to ensure accurate financial management, timely reporting, and donor compliance. You will work with the Finance Manager and programme teams to maintain records, support budgeting, and provide financial analysis for decision-making.

The role requires strong Excel skills, 5+ years in finance, and experience with donor-funded projects. Collaboration across departments and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA/CMA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and controls.
• Experience with donor reporting and project financial management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, books, and documentation.
• Review transactions, invoices, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Process payments, advances, settlements, and other financial transactions.
• Perform regular cash, bank, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure proper coding against projects and budgets.
• Support monthly/periodic financial closing.
• Prepare donor financial reports and financial statements.
• Coordinate with programme and support teams for donor reporting.
