Mashreq Careers is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define and govern end‑to‑end technology architecture across infrastructure, data, AI/ML and platform. You will partner with data, security, and infrastructure teams to design a scalable, cloud-ready ecosystem supporting digital transformation.

The role requires deep experience across hybrid environments, strong leadership, and hands-on IaC expertise to drive architecture decisions, standards, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years in infrastructure, data, or platform engineering/operations.
• 5–7 years in architecture leadership roles.
• Experience defining enterprise-wide infrastructure, platform, data and AI architectures in complex hybrid environments.
• Expertise in at least two domains from: Enterprise data platforms, AI/ML platforms, Integration platform, Security, Cloud, Container platforms, Compute/Storage/Networking/Virtualization.
• Familiarity with AIX, RHEL, Oracle Database, Dell EMC Storage, Pure Storage, Data Domain, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of security architecture, cloud governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale platform, data, or infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• Certifications in cloud, networking, infrastructure, or architecture frameworks (AWS, Azure, TOGAF) are a plus.
• Experience with ITIL, Agile, and modern delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise target architecture across infrastructure, platform, integration, data and AI.
• Establish architecture guardrails to promote standardization, data quality, AI readiness, platform automation, integration, and security by design.
• Provide enterprise-level architectural direction for platforms and advanced capabilities.
• Drive modernization initiatives across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers to optimize data platforms for performance and cost.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for data governance, security, privacy, and data residency.
• Lead evolution of enterprise infrastructure for scalability, AI compute, storage modernization, and cybersecurity.
• Oversee lifecycle of key platforms including virtualization, container platforms, cloud services, storage, and databases.
• Guide selection and implementation of infrastructure and cloud technologies for AI acceleration and modern data workloads.
• Develop capacity planning, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Translate business outcomes into scalable, future-proof architectures.
• Lead cross-functional architecture reviews and align with roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, engineers, and project teams.
• Maintain documentation including roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, and guidelines.
