Job summary

Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department invites applications for contract posts under the Development Project "Punjab Wildlife Census (Phase-II) From Baseline to Action" to support habitat assessment and ecological surveys in Punjab. The gestation period of the project will determine the contract length, with priority given to candidates domiciled in Punjab.

Qualifications include MPhil/MS in ecology or environmental sciences with 7–10 years of experience in habitat assessment or ecological census,

Qualifications

• MPhil / MS degree (18 years education) in ecology, environmental sciences or a related field with a minimum experience of 7-10 years in habitat assessment or ecological census / surveys.
• OR Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in Ecology, Zoology, Environmental sciences, Wildlife Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct integrated hydrological, hydrogeological and climate change assessment as part of the Punjab Wildlife Census project.
• Lead habitat assessments and ecological surveys across project sites in Punjab.
• Provide technical inputs for data collection, reporting and project milestones.
