Job summary

Act International seeks a Master Trainer / DRR Specialist to lead design, localization and delivery of DRR training and to provide technical backstopping to field activities in Multan and Muzaffargarh.

You will develop context-specific curricula, train trainers, and ensure integration of youth-led and inclusive approaches while coordinating with government and partners. Fluency in Urdu/English is essential; experience in Pakistan is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in community-based DRR, resilience or capacity-building projects, including ToT design and delivery.
• Proven experience localizing curricula and facilitating participatory trainings with diverse groups.
• Experience with government departments, NGOs and development partners in Pakistan.
• Fluent in Urdu and English; local languages of South Punjab are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, contextualization and updating DRR training curricula and tools per national frameworks and UNDP guidance.
• Design and deliver Training of Trainers for facilitators and community mobilizers with quality and consistency.
• Provide technical support for community risk assessments, contingency planning and early warning exercises.
• Integrate youth-led approaches, climate risks and resilience concepts into content.
• Mentor trainer pool through co-facilitation, coaching and post-training reviews.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of capacity-building activities and reports.
• Prepare technical reports and donor inputs on DRR and preparedness components.
• Coordinate with UNDP, disaster management authorities and stakeholders on technical matters.
