Act International seeks a Master Trainer / DRR Specialist to lead design, localization and delivery of DRR training and to provide technical backstopping to field activities in Multan and Muzaffargarh.
You will develop context-specific curricula, train trainers, and ensure integration of youth-led and inclusive approaches while coordinating with government and partners. Fluency in Urdu/English is essential; experience in Pakistan is preferred.
We are seeking specialist profiles for a potential community-based disaster risk reduction and resilience project expected to commence in August 2026 in the districts of Multan and Muzaffargarh in South Punjab. The initiative will work with flood‑affected communities to strengthen local preparedness systems through youth‑led and community‑driven approaches, including the formation and capacity building of community preparedness groups.
The project will focus on practical disaster preparedness, contingency planning, early warning dissemination, first‑response coordination, and social cohesion, with a strong emphasis on the meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. Through targeted training, mock drills, community dialogue sessions and awareness campaigns, the project aims to help communities anticipate, withstand and recover from climate‑induced shocks while reinforcing human security and linkages with local disaster management institutions.
The Master Trainer / DRR Specialist will lead the design, localization and delivery of training modules on disaster risk reduction (DRR), preparedness, and human security, and will provide technical backstopping to all field training activities.
