Job summary

Game District is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own and scale the data infrastructure powering marketing, monetization, and analytics across its gaming portfolio. You will design, build, and optimize pipelines from Adjust, ad networks, and in-game data into the data stack, while setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.

You’ll lead architecture and IaC, deploy self-hosted services like StarRocks and Airflow on EC2/ECS, and drive AI-assisted development with human review.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience in leading roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• Proficiency with AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, ECS, Networking).
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills; Python for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale data platform end-to-end on AWS.
• Own IaC and manage AWS resources with Terraform.
• Design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines from various sources.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructure code (GitLab).
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices & testing.
