Senior Data Engineer — Enterprise Warehouse Architect

Job summary

Joblogic is scaling its data department and seeks a senior data engineer to keep the data flowing today and to architect the enterprise data warehouse for tomorrow.

You will own and harden our Azure-based ingestion pipelines, design the warehouse/lakehouse end-to-end (bronze/silver/gold), and lead the migration to Microsoft Fabric or Databricks, while mentoring two engineers and setting engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing a data warehouse/lakehouse from scratch.
• Strong skills in Python for data engineering, automation and API work.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling (dimensional/star), and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and data quality controls.
• Hands-on Azure Data Services including Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage and Functions.
• Familiarity with Git/version control, CI/CD, and Power BI semantic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own and harden Azure-based ingestion pipelines today to support Marketing, Sales, CSM and Finance data.
• Design, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory; implement complex SQL and stored procedures.
• Build Python automation and REST API integrations for external and third-party data.
• Enforce data quality, validation and lineage across all pipelines.
• Partner with Analytics to deliver clean, modelled data feeds for Power BI on time.
• Set engineering standards, code reviews, and mentor two engineers.
• Monitor pipeline performance and cost; optimize compute and storage.
