Job summary

Joblogic is expanding its data team and seeks a senior data engineer to own ingestion pipelines today and design an enterprise data warehouse for tomorrow.

You’ll harden Azure-based pipelines, lead a migration to Microsoft Fabric or Databricks, mentor two engineers, and set standards for governance, performance, and scalability across the data platform. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibility as the data function grows.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on experience designing and implementing a data warehouse/lakehouse from scratch.
• 6+ years in data engineering with end-to-end warehouse experience.
• Python for data engineering, automation and API work.
• SQL for complex queries and performance optimization.
• Azure Data Services: ADF, SQL Database, Storage, Functions.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and data modelling (dimensional/star-schema).
• REST API integration and Git/version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own ingestion pipelines feeding Marketing, Sales, CSM and Finance into the data lake.
• Design, build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory; write complex SQL and stored procedures.
• Build Python automation and REST API integrations for external data sources.
• Ensure data quality, validation and lineage across pipelines.
• Partner with Analytics to deliver clean, modelled data feeds to Power BI on time.
• Set engineering standards (Git, code review, CI/CD) and mentor two engineers.
• Monitor pipeline performance and cost; optimise compute and storage.
