Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional content writing, ideally at a B2B or SaaS company or agency.
• Near-native written English (C2).
• Portfolio including long-form articles, web or landing page copy, a case study, and email or social copy.
• Ability to turn technical topics into clear, engaging copy for business buyers.
• Solid working knowledge of SEO writing.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
• Fast turnaround; accepts feedback and revising quickly.
• Experience with a CMS (WordPress, HubSpot) and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Write bylined articles and thought leadership pieces for construction and trade publications.

About the role

You’ll be the main writer behind our content across every channel. Your job is to turn complex construction software features into clear, credible, benefit-focused content that contractors, CFOs, controllers and project managers actually want to read.

You’ll take briefs from marketing leadership, interview product experts, customers and sales, and deliver finished, publish-ready work on deadline. This is a high-volume, high-quality writing role, not a strategy

or management role.

What you'll do

• Write bylined articles and thought leadership pieces for construction and trade publications
• Ghostwrite LinkedIn posts for executives and write copy for the company page
• Write press releases and media announcements

Website and SEO

• Write new website pages, landing pages and blog posts that rank and convert
• Apply SEO best practices: search intent, keyword targeting, on-page structure, internal linking and metadata
• Refresh and improve existing pages to lift traffic and conversions
• Structure content so it is easy for search engines and AI answer tools to find and cite

Product and sales content

• Turn product team input into feature release announcements, release notes and launch copy
• Write sales enablement content: one-pagers, product sheets, comparison sheets and battlecards
• Interview customers and write case studies and customer stories
• Write email campaigns, nurture sequences and newsletters
• Write social copy across channels, tailored to each audience and format
• Edit and proofread your own and others’ work, and apply the brand voice and style guide consistently
• Help maintain and improve the style guide and messaging library
• Use AI writing tools responsibly to work faster, while owning accuracy, originality and voice
• Manage many pieces at once and deliver on time against the content calendar

Must-haves

• 3+ years of professional content writing, ideally at a B2B or SaaS company or agency
• Near-native written English (C2)
• A portfolio that includes long-form articles, web or landing page copy, a case study, and email or social copy
• Proven ability to turn technical or complex topics into clear, engaging copy for business buyers
• Solid working knowledge of SEO writing
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills
• Fast, reliable turnaround; comfortable taking feedback and revising quickly
• Experience with a CMS (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot) and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Docs, Asana)

• Writing for construction, AEC, real estate or the trades
• Familiarity with ERP, accounting or financial software
• Published bylines in trade publications

• On-time delivery against the content calendar (target: 95%+)
• Revision rounds before publishing (target: 3 or fewer)
