Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer (ITOM) to join the Hybrid Cloud OpsRamp team. The role emphasizes large-scale, enterprise-grade cloud platforms, API development, and distributed systems. You will work with product, QA, and remote teams to accelerate AI-first SDLC initiatives, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 9–12 years of design, implementation and deployment of highly scalable SaaS apps and distributed systems.
• Cloud-native concepts with HA, scalability, resilience, security.
• Design specs, design/code reviews, and collaboration with support teams.
• Strong background in Java, multi-threading, data structures, distributed systems, Spring, Hibernate.
• Experience with APIs and large data platforms (Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Agile and CI/CD; knowledge of Cloud platforms - Kubernetes, Docker.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

What You Need to Bring:

• Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
• Must have 9-12 years of experience in designing, implementation and deployment of highly scalable SaaS applications/platforms and distributed systems.
• Understand cloud-native architecture concepts and have knowledge of best practices for high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security requirements in the cloud.
• Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations.
• Strong background in Core Java, Multi-Threading, Data Structures, Distributed Systems, Spring framework, Spring security, Hibernate
• Working knowledge of large event stream platforms (Kafka or similar message bus architecture)
• Strong data structure and algorithm skills to work with distributed backend systems
• Experience designing and building APIs
• Experience working with elasticsearch, cassandra, mysql.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environment
• Knowledge of Cloud Platform - CoreOS, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
• Demonstrated abilities to work with Product management, QA, and remote teams.
• Have Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Deep expertise in AI-First SDLC methodologies, with a proven ability to identify, implement, and leverage AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and business value.

Highly Preferred:

• Strong understanding of the current state of ITOM markets, infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, security, networking, and cloud-native models.
• Contributing in the development of trino connectors
