Job summary

Brilliant Systems is seeking an engineer to take AI features into production for clients who must explain results. You’ll build retrieval pipelines, write evaluation harnesses, and own end-to-end AI features with cost, latency, and rollback considerations.

You'll join client calls, explain capabilities in plain language, and participate in peer code reviews, with emphasis on compliance and clear communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping models into production with clear explainability.
• Strong Python and backend ownership of services behind models.
• Ability to justify retrieval decisions over model changes in production.
• Comfort with data governance, logging and compliance discussions.
• Clear written communication to non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and build retrieval pipelines over client data.
• Write evaluation harnesses turning client specs into measurable scores.
• Own an AI feature end-to-end: boundaries, cost, latency, rollback.
• Join client calls and explain system capabilities plainly.
• Review peers' work and welcome code reviews.
