Job summary

Pechsgs is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver Year 6 English and Social Studies. You will plan engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and support diverse learners in a positive classroom.

The role requires a minimum Bachelor's degree in English, Social Studies, Education, or a related field, and strong spoken and written English. Experience teaching Year 6 is preferred, with collaboration within the department.

• Provide individual academic support and guidance to students.
• Plan, deliver, and assess Year 6 lessons per curriculum and assessments.
• Utilise technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Design, prepare, and evaluate formative and summative assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the department and school community.

• Provide individual academic support and guidance to students whenever required.
• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in accordance with the requirements of the Year 6 curriculum, ensuring students are well prepared for assessments.
• Utilise technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the relevant curriculum and incorporate it into daily teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
• Design, prepare, and evaluate formative and summative assessments, including summative and Formative Assessments in accordance with curriculum requirements.
• Be organised, observant, adaptable, willing to take on challenges, and receptive to implementing feedback.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, share responsibilities, and contribute positively to the department and the school community.
