Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP) invites applications for Scientific Assistant-I (Physics/Chemistry) on a contingent basis for an intensive 80 to 110 days shutdown turnaround at Karachi. Selected personnel will receive a fixed wage of PKR 64,277 per month and assist plant health physics officers and radiochemists in laboratory analysis and environmental radiation monitoring.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. (1st Division) in Physics or Chemistry from an HEC recognized university/degree-awarding institute.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sample collection, radiochemical titrations, spectrophotometric analysis of trace dissolved impurities.
• Conduct radiation survey meter calibrations and gamma spectroscopy preparation.
• Verify heavy water isotopic purity as part of plant health checks.

Scientific Assistant-I (Physics / Chemistry)

A premier public sector industrial organization invites applications from competent and dedicated science graduates for engagement as Scientific Assistant-I (Physics / Chemistry) on a contingent basis for an intensive 80 to 110 days scheduled shutdown turnaround at Karachi. Selected personnel will draw a fixed wage package of PKR 64,277 per month and assist plant health physics officers and radiochemists in laboratory analysis and environmental radiation monitoring.

• Scientific assistants will participate in sample collection, radiochemical titrations, spectrophotometric analysis of trace dissolved impurities, radiation survey meter calibrations, gamma spectroscopy preparation, and heavy water isotopic purity verifications.
• Strict adherence to radiological safety protocols, ALARA principles, and laboratory quality control standards is mandatory throughout the turnaround.
• Evaluation is conducted through direct walk-in technical interviews at designated venues in Chashma (23 October 2026), Multan (28 October 2026), and Karachi (04 November 2026), followed by credential verification and physical fitness assessment.
