Job Description & Position Overview

The Sanitary Worker reports to the Caretaker / Sanitation Supervisor. Responsibilities include daily sweeping and mopping of pressrooms, office corridors, and warehouses, chemical disinfection of toilets and washrooms, emptying wastepaper bins, clearing paper dust and ink residues, and maintaining hygienic plant premises.

• Sweep, mop, and disinfect press halls, administrative corridors, staircases, and office rooms.
• Scrub and descale toilet bowls, urinals, washbasins, and bathroom floor tiles using disinfectants chemicals.
• Empty and clean trash cans, paper waste bins, and replace plastic garbage liners daily.
• Clear paper scrap, ink rags, and industrial debris from printing press areas and deposit in collection dumps.
• Replenish liquid hand soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls in administrative restrooms.
• Clean and unclog floor drainage traps, sewerage channels, and exterior building gutters.
• Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, masks, rubber gumboots ) during all cleaning duties.
