Job summary

Veeam Software is recruiting a senior backend engineer to join a globally distributed team. You will design, build, and harden the core backend platform for a new SaaS product, addressing data analytics and enterprise challenges.

You will help craft architecture documents, participate in design reviews, and ensure scalable, secure delivery with on-call readiness and strong collaboration across product and support teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development with cloud-ready distributed systems.
• Experience with container technologies and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of GoLang, Java, C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Join a globally distributed backend team to architect and build the core platform.
• Create architecture and design documents, specs, and test plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end dev, deployment, and testing of features.
• Write secure, scalable, and performant code; perform code reviews.
• Monitor performance and address urgent issues on-call.
• Collaborate with support to address customer issues.
• Integrate new technologies into cloud-based backend infra.
