Job summary

Ascent Business Solutions seeks a seasoned SaaS Architect to lead end-to-end multi-tenant platform design on AWS, with .NET services and React/Next.js front ends. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform across app, integration, data, security and platform layers.
• Lead customer-facing engagements: discovery sessions, architecture workshops, solution presentations, POC scoping.
• Translate business requirements into architecture designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Define tenancy models and onboarding provisioning, per-tenant configuration and feature entitlements.
• Design AWS reference architectures using EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS/SNS/EventBridge, Cognito, CloudFront.
• Hands-on architecture of .NET microservices and React/Next.js front ends; define boundaries, APIs, patterns, caching and async work.
• Collaborate with data architects on tenant data isolation, retention, encryption, reporting and analytics access.
• Own non-functional architecture: scalability, availability, performance budgets, observability and cost forecasting.
• Support commercial cycles: respond to RFPs, security questionnaires and architecture reviews; size and price solutions.
• Govern solution delivery: architecture review boards, design sign-off, risk registers and design conformance.

Role Overview

We are building and scaling a multi-tenant SaaS platform on AWS with .NET services and React/Next.js front ends. The SaaS Solution Architect is the bridge between customer need and technical solution: you shape end-to-end solution architecture for prospects and existing customers, run technical discovery and design workshops, and translate commercial requirements into a coherent, buildable design on the shared platform. This is a customer-facing architecture role that carries real technical depth.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for the multi-tenant SaaS platform across application, integration, data, security and platform layers.
• Lead customer-facing technical engagements: discovery sessions, architecture workshops, solution presentations, proof-of-concept scoping and technical deep dives with customer architects and security teams.
• Translate business requirements, commercial constraints and regulatory obligations into solution designs, architecture decision records and implementation roadmaps.
• Define and evolve the tenancy model tenant isolation strategy (pooled, bridged, silo), tenant onboarding and provisioning, per-tenant configuration, feature entitlement and tiered service levels.
• Design AWS reference architectures using EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS/SNS/EventBridge, Cognito and CloudFront, with cost, resilience and multi-region considerations made explicit.
• Hands‑on Architect .NET microservices and React/Next.js front ends: service boundaries, API contracts, design patterns, caching, async workflows and shared component strategy.
• Design the data architecture in partnership with data architects: tenant data segregation, data residency, retention, encryption, reporting and analytics access patterns.
• Own non-functional architecture: scalability and load modelling, availability and RTO/RPO targets, performance budgets, observability strategy and capacity/cost forecasting.
• Support the commercial cycle: respond to RFPs, security questionnaires and architecture due-diligence reviews; size and estimate solutions; contribute to statements of work and pricing inputs.
• Govern solution delivery: architecture review boards, design sign-off, technical risk registers and ensuring what is built matches what was designed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Certified AWS Architect, proven experience architecting production multi-tenant SaaS platforms, with a clear command of tenancy models and the trade-offs between isolation, cost and operational complexity.
• Deep AWS architecture experience across compute, containers, serverless, managed data services, networking, identity and cost management.
• Strong full-stack technical foundation: .NET / C# (ASP.NET Core, .NET 69) services and React or Next.js front ends with TypeScript.
• Microservices and distributed‑systems architecture experience — service decomposition, API design, event-driven patterns, resilience and consistency trade-offs.
• Solid data architecture literacy: relational modelling (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), caching, analytics access patterns and tenant data isolation.
• Demonstrated customer-facing experience — presenting architecture to senior customer stakeholders, handling objections, and winning technical trust in sales or delivery contexts.
• Security and compliance architecture experience relevant to SaaS: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SSO federation, encryption, tenant boundary controls and audit evidence.
• Strong commercial awareness: solution sizing, estimation, licensing/cost modelling and the ability to reason about margin impact of design choices.
• Experience with containerized, pipeline-driven delivery (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) and Infrastructure-as-Code.
