Job summary

NOUS ROBOT is seeking a senior controls engineer to lead the architecture for robotic cells used in assembly, inspection and part transfer on manufacturing lines.

You will ensure the robot, PLC and vision system operate in harmony during normal production, product changes and unexpected stops, and you will guide commissioning while documenting maintenance needs for rapid fault diagnosis. Austrian partners experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating industrial robotic cells with controls and production equipment.
• Ability to explain technical design, integration or commissioning decisions.
• Candidates currently living abroad are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the controls architecture for robotic cells used in assembly, inspection and part transfer.
• Define equipment interfaces, signal sequences and safe restart behaviour.
• Review how the vision system identifies parts and how the cell handles rejects or missing components.
• Set test cases for repeatability, fault recovery and restart after an interruption.
• Guide controls engineers during commissioning and document what maintenance teams need to diagnose faults.
