Job summary

Ministry of Finance in Islamabad is seeking a Revenue Officer (BPS-16/17) to join the Federal / Provincial Revenue Authority. The role focuses on compliance, auditing, and adherence to procedures with postings to Islamabad / Zonal Hubs.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree (16 years) in relevant fields and 2–3 years of tax-related experience; selection includes an MCQ screening and evaluation of qualifications.

Qualifications

• Master degree or 16 years education in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Law from an HEC recognized university.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in tax return scrutiny, sales tax auditing, bookkeeping, or commercial accounting in public or private sectors.
• MCQs screening test with domain and language components will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Conduct desk audits of monthly sales tax returns and verify withholding tax compliance across agents.
• Monitor POS integration and issue notices as required; maintain DCR and related records.
