Job summary

Creative Chaos is seeking a SQL Analyst to perform thorough exploratory data analysis (EDA) using SQL and standard tooling to understand data cardinalities, detect outliers, and assess data quality and completeness.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure data is robust, well-documented, and ready for downstream analytics, including Azure-based migrations and data lakehouse workflows. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, CS, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Analyst or similar role.
• EDA mindset to explore and understand messy data and identify quality issues.
• Cloud data experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake and Data Lakehouse; Synapse.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to convey data insights clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Data Exploration & Profiling to understand raw data and inform cleansing.
• Cloud migration support for legacy CRM data into Azure and Pipelines.
• Version control experience using Git for docs and code.
• Stakeholder engagement with data engineers, business analysts, and product owners.
