Job summary

Creative Chaos is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Node/React) to build server and client applications, including Restful APIs and front-end interfaces. A senior engineer mentors juniors, ensures security and performance, and leads a team to strengthen the engineering function.

Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, writing code and tests, collaborating with the client and team, and maintaining systems with a focus on quality and reliability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related professional experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript technologies.
• Knowledge of NodeJS and frameworks such as ExpressJS and NestJS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend components.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• HTML and CSS experience.
• ReactJS, Redux and Context experience.
• Familiarity with design systems (Material-UI/Atomize).
• Understanding of security standards and compliances.
• Able to design database structures and write unit tests with high coverage.
• Experience with GitHub/Jira and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and estimate tasks.
• Write code and unit tests.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with clients.
• Tune code for security and performance.
• Maintain systems by fixing issues and updating issue trackers.
• Lead a team of software engineers and mentor juniors.
• Upgrade skills and knowledge; evaluate candidates for open positions.
