Job summary

Younes Biane is seeking a Senior Full Stack Node.js Developer for a remote, freelance engagement, preferably located in Karachi, Pakistan. The role focuses on backend services, worker infrastructure, and lightweight frontend work.

You will collaborate in a modern AI-driven workflow, contribute to CI/CD, and ensure robust, scalable systems using Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and webhooks.

Qualifications

• Advanced backend development with Node.js/Express and API design.
• PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• Experience with background job queues and workers (Bull, Bee-Queue).
• Redis for caching, pub/sub, and rate limiting.
• Webhook integrations and third-party API routing (payments).
• Automated testing (unit & integration), TDD, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Node.js/Express backend services and REST APIs.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL schema changes and migrations; write efficient queries.
• Implement and support background job queues and worker infrastructure.
• Use Redis for caching, pub/sub and rate limiting.
• Integrate webhooks and third-party APIs (payments/webhooks).
• Write automated tests (unit & integration) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement logging and error monitoring for production services.
• Maintain lightweight frontend components with Vanilla JS and Alpine.js.
