Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company, seeks an IntelliJ IDEA Specialist to design and record realistic IDE tasks for training AI models. This hourly remote contractor role involves creating Java/Kotlin tasks, configuring SDKs, and documenting outcomes in SuperAnnotate.

You will demonstrate practical workflows, including builds, debugging, testing, and project setup, while maintaining clear instructions and high-quality recordings across time zones.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using IntelliJ IDEA for Java, Kotlin, backend development, debugging, project setup, refactoring, build tools, or Git workflows.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher) to understand instructions and document tasks clearly.
• Comfortable managing files, opening projects, configuring SDKs, installing dependencies, and recording workflows.
• Ability to design realistic and challenging IntelliJ IDEA tasks reflecting real coding, debugging, testing, and project setup uses.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic IntelliJ IDEA tasks that can be executed on the computer using IntelliJ IDEA and document them clearly in SuperAnnotate.
• Prepare the work environment with IntelliJ IDEA installed, projects/files, SDK config, dependencies, and references before recording.
• Record yourself executing the IntelliJ IDEA tasks, following project instructions to ensure the workflow is clear and complete.
• Document task context including steps, goals, project files, dependencies, and notes for reviewers.
