SME Careers, a fast-growing AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, seeks an Android Engineer (Kotlin/Java) for a fully remote, hourly contractor role. You will review AI-generated Android code, assess architectures, and provide high-quality reference implementations with clear reasoning.

You will focus on correctness, performance, and security across Jetpack Compose, concurrency, lifecycle, networking, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Android experience
• Strong Kotlin proficiency (Kotlin 1.6+) and Java familiarity
• Solid Android fundamentals: lifecycle, components, permissions
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Views
• Concurreny: coroutines/Flow, threading, cancellation
• Knowledge of MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns
• DI with Hilt/Dagger/Koin and modularization
• Networking and data: Retrofit/OkHttp, Room/SQLite, DataStore
• Testing: JUnit, instrumentation tests, Espresso, CI/CD
• Security: secure storage and data handling

Responsibilities

• Develop Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Review AI-generated Android code and architectures.
• Create high-quality reference implementations and explanations.
• Evaluate AI solutions for correctness, security, performance, and reliability.
